Vinyl All Eyez On Me albums, special edition Ramones jackets, and a parade of celebrity show-ups is how designer extraordinaire Sami Miró celebrated the launch of her Surplus by Bravado collaboration at the SXSW Music Festival’s Music is Universal showcase. Held at popular Austin cocktail bar, Antone’s, Miró’s latest limited edition collection includes four styles of army jackets. All were made available exclusively for SXSW consumers priced at $300 each. Later this month, the in-demand collection will launch online at the sought-after creative’s Sami Miro Vintage (SMV) store for $400 apiece. Known as The Queen of Vintage, the San Francisco native’s latest offerings feature a few of her signature design motifs, including rectangular denim patches and vintage inspired raw hems.

Soon after, the couturier’s SMV brand of products – all handmade in Los Angeles and designed for both men and women – commanded the admiration of many high profile clients. The ever lengthening list includes some of millennial media’s most potent influencers: Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, Hailee Steinfeld and Gigi Hadid to name a few. The Surplus by Bravado three-day retail event included custom patch and embroidery stations, surprise collaborations, and pop-ups. The showcase was presented by PUMA, O Organics, and Universal Music Group.
