Dynamic denim brand DL1961 introduces its SS17 “The Uniform” collection with three of young Hollywood’s hottest influencers – models Sofia Richie, Jasmine Sanders, and Nathaniel Dam. The photo shoot took place in New York City’s Chinatown at the iconic Nom Wah Tea Parlor. With the artistic intention of capturing the diversity of instinct and interest portrayed by the undeniably epic millennial era, the global premium denim brand merged the three star’s sexy stoicism and audacious affect with the brand’s cocky couture to accurately capture the utilitarianism of the jean outfit staple. Miraculously, this was done without sacrificing DL1961’s shape retention and environmentally friendly practices. “At the end of the day, denim is the most core, essential utilitarian piece that everyone wears, so it was important for us to take on a more conversational tone,” shared Sarah Ahmed, Creative Director for DL1961. “We are reinterpreting vintage fits and washes but with the feel and performance of new age denim.” DL1961 arrives as the au courant of now era edge and style aptitude. Check out a few cool images from The Uniform collection below, styled by star-framer Matthew Henson, who explained his winning approach to the earthy yet vivid campaign’s wardrobe: “We wanted to keep the styling as simple and minimal as possible, allowing the jeans to come to life and take center stage.”
