Here is an Excerpt from the Full Length Interview

(Danielle Noel: DN) What inspires the music you make? What is behind the themes?

(Travis Porter: TP) We were only 17 when we started performing. Our first performance was in a strip club, so that’s where we started gaining inspiration. We inspired each other, when we were growing up we looked up to the Hot Boys, but our main inspiration came from each other.

(DN) What is the bigger meaning and purpose of the album title “From Day 1.”

(TP) It just shows love to all the people who have been down since day one. All the DJ’s, fans, and our supporters, this is for them.

(DN) How do you deal with negativity and the haters?

(TP) I mean when you have hate, it means you accomplished a lot and you’re doing something good because you have haters. If you don’t have haters that means you’re not doing enough. So I salute the haters, I support haters.

(DN) Being that you blew up so quickly, how do you stay humble?

(TP) I think we’re just naturally humble. I still walk up and speak to all the fans and if I’m in a room full of people I don’t act Hollywood or treat them like groupies, I interact with them.

“When we say From Day One, we want all the fans to know that this project is our album,” explains Strap. “It’s just as much about our fans as it is the members of Travis Porter.”
