Rap is an important practice. And in New Jersey, where Hip Hop musician Mark J. Morgan aka MJM hails from, rappers are grown organically like greens, grapes, and gun control. Of course, it’s the Garden State, so politician pleasing prostitutes and their prison-bound pimps aside, lyricists are beget and bred there - though most are there to chase the bread and begets. From Redman and Treach of Naughty by Nature, to Joe Budden and more recently Fetty Wap, Jersey MC’s are commonly a mix of skilled and strong willed; less neighboring New York blunt and more neighborhood Black and Mild. MJM adds to this legacy of mental toughness with a sincere message and appreciated spiritual foundation.

Having recently expanded his voice and vision from the safety and sanctity of the Gospel church by readily accepting the challenge of also inspiring the pagans in the pews and the lifestyle sinners worshipping the street life, MJM recently released his seminal collection of recorded material called “MJM Parables (Part 1)”, the first in a series of real Rap-&-B mixtapes. “I believe this is what I was created for, to reach out to those going through situations that most artists don’t touch,” MJM says of his choice to enter into the music industry. “I’m vulnerable in my approach but really believe all of my music should have a message and provide resolution in some way.”
