When metal men Steve Moore, Jon Ireson, and Kenneth Buck founded their psych rock band Post Death Soundtrack almost ten years ago, they were intent on adding good music to the grand musical landscape of rock; contribute to the stage raging genre that raised them. After several locally heralded albums, the band delivers their best work to date in the mind bending 9-song idea adventure titled The Unlearning Curve. Operating out of Canada’s big three cities - Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver - PDS spent three intense years in the sound lab crafting a project that would stand the solid test of hard times; a musical statue to set at the entrance of their proverbial stadium of sound stone. Largely interpretive due to its profoundly honest songwriting and immersive production, “That Which Is” and “Transform In White Light” bookend an industrial rock album heavy on the analytics.
