Neymar Jr. - This Guys Goals Are Gold

Brazilian pro footballer Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, star of both the Spanish club FC Barcelona and Brazil’s national team, has his eyes set on Olympic Gold when his home country hosts the Olympic games this summer in Rio de Janeiro. A superstar since his teens, the popular 24-year-old is known for his remarkable dribbling ability, blurring acceleration, superior ability to finish and score with either foot and, most of all, his leadership. An outstanding young teammate, Neymar Jr. is often compared to former Brazilian forward Pelé, widely regarded as the game’s all time greatest on field performer.

During a recent interview in Barcelona, Spain, Neymar Jr. discussed the challenges in transitioning to European football after beginning his career in South America, and also shared his hopes of winning Brazil’s first ever gold medal for the men’s team. When asked if he wishes to someday return to his native Brazil, Neymar Jr., who was ranked as the third best player in the world by The Guardian and the most marketable athlete in the world by Sports Pro, shared his goals: “It’s tough to say if I want to play in other countries. Nobody knows about tomorrow,” he begins. “But I’m very happy where I am right now, at Barcelona,” he continued, before adding. “I have the will to go back to Brazil some day and I also would like to play in the USA. Those two countries are where I want to play later in my career.”
