OSHUN, Young Paris, Sam Dew, Lion Babe, HXLT, and all-continent icon Lauryn Hill were among the creative souls to bless the set at this year’s Afro Punk Festival. Known for providing a platform of participation for Blacks of all nationalities to present their prowess in alternative musical genres such as punk rock, queercore, chill wave, future garage, dream pop, ambient, trip hop, and other experimental investments in sound and performance, the fest’s diversity of both ethnicity and interest is among the most lifestyle liberal in the world. In addition to music, Afro Punk Fest also showcases other art forms such as literature, merchandise, foods, goods, and herbs, along with one of music’s most eclectic networking scenes. The weekend long event held annually in Brooklyn grows more powerful, progressive, and influential each year. Check out our DOPE collection of hot images below. Feel these artists? Find their pages.
