(DOPE) What is an ambitious soul?
(NITA) To me it is someone with very strong ambitions, a person that doesn’t give up on their dreams. Someone who is very motivated, and motivational to others; dedicated and positive inside and out. They’re putting their all towards their dream and making it become a reality. Someone who’s fighting hard for success and won’t stop ‘till they make it.
(DOPE) You are on a power model path, and every power model has her own signature. What is your signature?
(NITA) My signature is me being a very rare model, I should say. There are not too many petite models out here in this industry (Nita is 5’3, 105 lbs). Besides being petite, I also feel like I have a very rare look. Being southern Asian-American I feel like I will bring spice to the modeling game and that’s what it needs!
(DOPE) What are your most alluring attributes?
(NITA) My alluring attributes are my gap and my eyes. You see all these models with pretty straight teeth, but with a lil’ gap like mines (Laughs), it stands out in every picture. As for my eyes, I feel like people can tell how I’m feeling when they see me, when they look into my eyes. It’s very enticing, I shall say. My gap and my eyes catch a lot of people’s attention. It’s what helps make me the model that I am.
(DOPE) Talk a little bit about your favorite brands, labels, boutiques, spas, cities and clubs.
(NITA) Me as a person I don’t think of brand names very much. I wear what I feel is beautiful and that’s all that matters. Boutique-wise, Lavish LuXe Is a hot women’s clothing line and that is what I mainly love to wear. I’m also their spokes-model so rocking it and loving it is part of my career as well. I’m not a very spa-going person, but I enjoy it at times when I have the time to go. City-wise, I love New York, LA, Miami and Atlanta . Those are my dream cities that I want to take trips to. Been in Texas my whole life but when the time comes I will have the chance to travel more and more. Last but not least, clubs. I don’t have a favorite but I enjoy going to clubs here in Dallas like Club ZOUKS, Synn Lounge and Privae.
(DOPE) You are of Cambodian and Thai descent. Tell us a little about your heritage and how it reflects in your approach to modeling.
(NITA) My Thailand and Cambodian heritage mean a lot to me. Both are located in southern Asia, for some people who may not know. My family was born out there and it was a struggle for them. Back in our country it was very poor. My heritage is about family and taking care of each other. This reflects in my modeling because I feel like I can inspire a lot of young people out there in the world. You don’t normally see a Cambodian or Thai model who is big in America. And for me to just make it… I want to give back and be able to help people out as much as I can. My family deserves the world and I want to give them everything they worked hard for back in Cambodia.
(DOPE) What makes you DOPE?
(NITA) What’s makes me DOPE is that I am such a beautiful person inside and out. It’s not always about the looks, or impressing others. But it’s about you inspiring young people. Giving positive feedback and just supporting each others goals. This is what makes Nita Chantelle Lee DOPE.
